Advanced CIT (ACIT)

In addition to the general qualifications listed previously, the following apply specifically to the job of ACIT

You’ve completed our CIT program and you’re ready to move to the next level in your service to Christ? Then being an Advanced Counselor in Training is for you.


Number of applicants to be accepted: 5-10. We reserve the right to accept or reject any or all applicants.
Application must be postmarked by: April 1 of year of service
Those accepted will be notified after May 1 of the year of service.


Requirements (in addition to general qualifications listed earlier)
  • Must have completed 10th grade or turn 16 by December 31 of the year of service
  • Must have a favorable recommendation from your pastor
  • Must have completed one year of service as a Baptist Park CIT with a favorable recommendation from supervising staff. (May be waived at Baptist Park’s discretion. Request for waiver must accompany application.)
  • Must commit to the entire camping season, including Staff Training week (allowance is made for those whose school is not out at the beginning of Staff Training)
  • Must be willing to live in an assigned cabin with campers (under supervision of the cabin Counselor) and be a positive influence in that context
  • Must be willing to lead campers and camp activities as assigned (e.g. devotions, prayers, games, etc.)
  • Must be willing to learn in a class setting
  • Must be willing to serve performing light cleaning duties such as dishwashing, trash removal, bathroom cleaning, etc. 
  • May be asked to perform light maintenance duties such as painting, mowing, etc. 
  • May receive training in worship leadership and be asked to serve in that capacity
  • May receive training in the operation of Baptist Park offerings such as the rock wall, zip line, etc.


Pay: $25 per week, plus free room and board, training and other camp experiences, staff tee shirt. May raise pledged support of $125 (for a gross total of $150 per week).
