Counselor

In addition to the general qualifications listed previously, the following apply specifically to the job of Counselor

Are you a disciple of Christ who wants to serve Christ by leading children and youth to trust Christ, lead devotions, share the gospel, foster community living skills, and just generally give your time and abilities for the good of others? Then consider being a Counselor at Baptist Park.


Job description: Responsible for the direct spiritual and physical care of campers through cabin times, personal and general interaction, participation in services and devotions, and implementation of the program activities.
  • Directly responsible to the Director.
  • Must complete camper profile forms, decision cards, self-evaluation and other paperwork as directed.
  • Must be willing to teach, share, and counsel based on Biblical truth
  • Must be willing to model Christian living to campers.
  • Must be willing to live in a cabin with assigned campers and take responsibility for their safety, well being, and general community living behavior.
  • Must have good knowledge of Biblical doctrine.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or a high school graduate.
  • Ability to participate in skits, music, etc. is an asset.
  • Must enjoy working with children and teens and be willing to personally interact with them.

Pay: $200 per week (gross) plus free room and board, training, camp experiences, staff tee shirt
